What’s New?

At the Micro Neighborhood Alliance (MNA), our work continues to grow thoughtfully and steadily.

Since our last update, we were honored to present at the Stone Living Lab Conference, where our abstract was accepted and our presentation was received with great enthusiasm. We also submitted an abstract for the upcoming Association for Preservation Technology (APT) Conference in Providence this November and are pleased to share that it too was accepted. We look forward to presenting there alongside our colleagues Joan Berkowitz and Charlotte Hoffman.

In addition, MNA was awarded a Changemakers Grant to create a series of cartoons based on our initiatives, helping to make adaptation approachable and accessible to a wider audience. We have also applied for an Environmental Justice Northeast grant to expand this work, with the goal of lowering Provincetown’s CRS score by 500 points, moving from a Class 8 to a Class 7. We hope to hear good news within the next month or so. Fingers crossed!

Perhaps most meaningfully, we are beginning to lay the groundwork for expanding MNA’s work beyond Provincetown. The feedback we have received from local residents, regional partners, and national networks has confirmed what we suspected. Many communities are facing the same challenges we see here: the need for steady, relational, human-centered approaches to adaptation. We are moving forward carefully, always rooted in the belief that resilience is built relationship by relationship.

We deeply appreciate your interest and your trust. If you would like to support MNA’s work as we continue to grow, we welcome your donations with gratitude. Every contribution helps us nurture resilience, relationship, and right effort in the communities we serve.

Onward with Right Intention, Right Effort,

Ginny
